Let’s Dance!

October 1, 2010

One of my favorite David Bowie songs ever, “Let’s Dance”! A blast from the past. Please enjoy! :-)

Let’s dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues

Let’s dance
To the song they’re playin’ on the radio

Let’s sway
While color lights up your face
Let’s sway
Sway through the crowd to an empty space

If you say run, I’ll run with you
If you say hide, we’ll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let’s dance
For fear your grace should fall
Let’s dance
For fear tonight is all

Let’s sway
You could look into my eyes
Let’s sway
Under the moonlight,
This serious moonlight

If you say run, I’ll run with you
If you say hide, we’ll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall
Into my arms
And tremble like a flower

Let’s dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues

Let’s dance
To the song they’re playin’ on the radio

Let’s sway
You could look into my eyes
Let’s sway
Under the moonlight,
This serious moonlight

  1. I know it’s one of his well-known songs and I often find myself liking songs that aren’t that popular, however this song is one of my favourites as well :) It’s so motivational.. And his amazing, powerful voice shows really well in this song :)

  2. Oh… I can’t get enough of Bowie’s smokey sexy voice! XD

  3. I know this song really well having the 45 and the original issue cd album which uses a different mix. If you don’t own it the Best of David Bowie 1980-1987 on UK EMI comes recommended for the single versions of many of his hits from this era.
    Love, Caroline
